What are the Sims 3 system requirements for Windows 7?

I am getting a computer and it is a Windows 7 i had a laptop but the Sims did not work on it so i asked my parents for a computer for Christmas and they said they have looked but they are very expensive so they asked if it could work for windows 7. I really need to know the requirements, plzzz help me i wanna play it so bad.

The system requirements say 2.4 GHz P4 processor so make sure the laptop is a duo core (which means that ex: 2.0GHz duo core is really a 4.0GHz and enough to runs sims).



You also need to look @ the graphics card. Notebookcheck.net is an easy way to see if the graphics card that you have will work with certain games including sims.



Just go here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html and enter or search for your graphics card %26amp; look under sims 3 - Green means it will run.

Green all across means it will run sims w/ high graphics and just one green means it will run poorly if at all.



About 1-2GB ram is also needed



Most new laptops that regularly cost $400 and up usually have all the other system requirements to play sims 3 except the graphics card and sometimes the duo core.



I would also suggest that your parents search for a laptop in a more techy place like newegg.com or tigerdirect versus a place like bestbuy or wal-mart. Those places have a more advanced search were they'll be able to put in the system requirement in the search and they'll show you the computers that match. having a duel processor doesn't add the processing speeds together....it's like having to two separate ones working together for a common task...

hey if your using Windows 7.. ur sims 3 totally not work. because sims 3 runs only at windows XP and Vista. means that sims 3 is not compatible with W7, like mine :(

* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

* Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1

* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games



For computers using built-in graphics chipsets under Windows, the game requires at least:



* Intel Integrated Chipset, GMA 3-Series or above

* 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent

* 0.5 GB additional RAM

These are the system req's for vista...they are most likely the same.
