Sims 3 System Requirements?

I have a Dell Inspiron 530s..

I exceed all the other system requirements except for the graphics card..

I have the Intel Express Chipset Family G33/G31, which isn't supported.

Every time I try to play the igfx graphics driver stops working. Sometimes I get the blue screen..



So uhh, about how much would a new graphics card cost?

(And how much would it cost for someone to install it for me?!)

well, you can get a mid level video card...The only issue is that your stock Dell power supply wont be good enough to run a video card....On lower end Dell PC's like the 530s, its common for Dell to use a 300w power supply, most video cards will want at least a 350w power supply to run safely....

You have to go buy a graphics card.

Installing a driver is free but look for one that is much better than yours.Sims 3 System Requirements?
First off, its not hard at all to install a graphics card, you can easily do it yourself. Make sure you read up on it though beforehand, or talk to someone who knows how. If you know anyone good with computers, they could probably do it for you for free.



If you aren't comfortable installing the card yourself, then you should probably take it to a local computer place, which are pretty easy to find.

You should look those up individually to compare pricing and decide which one works best for you. Additionally, you could call up a local computer store and ask for their help, they will probably be much more versed on this subject then I or many other Yahoo! members.
