The Sims 3 system requirements?

So I got a Dell XPS in January of 08... Here is what my system has...



1 223-3526 XPS M1530, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2GHz/800MhzFSB, 4M L2 Cache)

1 311-7822 3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm, for XPS M1530

1 320-6082 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

1 341-5632 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive for XPS M1530





What will I need to upgrade or increase so that the Sims 3 will run well and quickly??



Also, this laptop get very hot very quickly when playing. Anything I can do about that aside from turning the game off??

Your computer is more than powerful enough to handle Sims 3. The only problem that I can see is your graphics card - 1 320-6082 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. But your processor is more than fast enough, you have enough ram. It should run pretty fast without any problems.



I think many laptops become hot when under heavy usage, the best solution is to buy a laptop cooler. My computer runs really hot, but after using a laptop cooler, it helps a lot!

Theres no prob with his graphics.THe sims 3 will only need 128-256 mb VRAM.So the 8600 gt will be okay.
