Can windows vista run the sims 3 on xp system requirements?

can vista run the sims 3 on xp requirements? ( vista requires a 2.4GHz processor, whilst xp only requires 2.0GHz), i would also like to know why it's higher for vista, i thoguht it was jsut because vista slows thigns down, but then it wouldnt need to be higher for vistaCan windows vista run the sims 3 on xp system requirements?
no u need vista req. even if u use XP compatibility mode,as for the other part of ur question ,vista req. more powerful system to run.

e.g.if u have 1 GB of RAM ,vista req. more than 512 MB of RAM to run ,and if the game req. 1GB of RAM then u'll need at least 1.5 GB RAM to be able to play the game on vista,so the 1 GB that u have will not be enough to run vista + the game .
