Question about Sims 3 system requirements.?

I have a new computer and I was wondering if I could d/l Sims 3 on it w/o it getting sluggish, etc.

I have Windows 7, 5.75 GB of usable RAM, AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor 2.80 GHz, 881GB of free space on my hard drive. Is this good enough?Question about Sims 3 system requirements.?
I'm going to guess if your packing a pre-built (?) computer with 6GB RAM and a Quad-Core processor you will not have a problem.

If you could play the Sims 2 the requirements aren't really much different as the game was made on the same engine created for the Sims 2. The graphics aren't changed, just the amount of power (such as RAM) is required.

The DLC is the only thing that seems to make the Sims franchise so slow. It's like rather then being an expansion it's just another process running on top.

The overall verdict is if your just wanting to play the Sims 3 on it's on without DLC you'll not suffer any problems.Question about Sims 3 system requirements.?

It depends; what's your graphics card; a great computer can be let down by a crappy graphics card when it comes to gaming.
