What are the system requirements for SIMS 3 with Windows 7?

I am looking into buying a new laptop and, as silly as it may sound, my one vice is The SIMS so my computer must be able to play it. On the back of the game it shows the requirements for XP and Vista, not the newest OS. It says 2.4 ghz processer is required for Vista but only 2.2 ghz for XP I believe. I grew up with Macs and don't know a lot about PCs or computers in general. Any help would be appreciated.What are the system requirements for SIMS 3 with Windows 7?
FOR WINDOWS VISTA

* 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 1.5 GB RAM
* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1
* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

---------------------------------

The game can run on Windows 7. I have it and it works fine; I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Basically, if you buy a newer laptop, it will probably have the processor as i3/i5/i7, or Phenom II X4/X3 (Quad Core/Triple Core). This exceeds the system requirements.

If not, just make sure that if it is an Intel Pentium *DUAL CORE* that the clock speed is at least 2.4, when buying the laptop it should say the clock speed. Intel Core 2 Duo/Quads will work fine too.

RAM is RAM. Most laptops have around 4GB of RAM. That is enough.

Preferably you should get a laptop with a video card. Try to avoid stuff like Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD. You don't HAVE to as I'm pretty sure that Sims 3 can run on that, but you might have to tone down your settings.

Your laptop will have enough room as all laptops I've seen nowadays have around 320GB of hard drive space. So long as you apply Windows Update you will get the service packs. If not, you can download them from Microsoft's website.What are the system requirements for SIMS 3 with Windows 7?
If you go on system requirments lab. Click can you run it? and go on from there, it tells you the reqirements and also tells you if you can use it on your computer:) http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/marketing/index.htmlWhat are the system requirements for SIMS 3 with Windows 7?
Pretty much any computer you get thats around 500 bucks and up can run sims and considering you're used to macs I'm assuming that shouldn't be a problem. It's not really that demanding of a game.
