Sims 3 system requirements help?

The Sims 3 website says you need 2.0MHz and 1GB of RAM to play the game. I have 1.86MHz and 0.99GB RAM.... will this be okay?Sims 3 system requirements help?
You may have issues because those are the bare minimum. Games function better if the computer is beyond the minimum requirements. You may be unable to install the game, because the game checks your requirements prior to installing. Your computer may also just not be showing your true MHz and RAM. If it allows you to install, you will be fine.Sims 3 system requirements help?

Those are the MINIMUM requirements required to play the game if you have Windows XP. So while it should run it may be sluggish and have an issue or two. If you have Vista then you need a faster CPU and more RAM.

* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

* 1 GB RAM

* At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content

* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

FOR WINDOWS VISTA

* Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)

* 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

* 1.5 GB RAM

* At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content

* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
