Hi, I`m really excited for The Sims 3 being released in a few days. I just looked at the system requirement and it said that it needs 2 GB memory, on my computer box it say it has 1 GB. Will it work on my computer or will just go really slow? And if so, is there any way to install more memory if I need it?
The Sims 3 Requirements:
CPU Intel Core Duo
Memory 2 GB
Hard Drive Space At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
Graphics Hardware ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100.
My Requirements
Processor AMD Athlon LE-1640 PROCESSOR
MEMORY: 1 GB
HARD DRIVE: 250 GBSystem Requirements The Sims 3?
it will run slow but you can just go to any computer store and pick up 1 GB of ram for cheap
and those are the system requirements for mac osx
and i doubt your computer is a mac because macs don't have amd processors
the requirements at the top are the windows requirements http://thesims3.ea.com/view/pages/featur鈥?/a>
Well if your computer is 1GB
and the game is 2GB then its not gonna fit onto your computer so it wont install at all or it will install halfway and then say an error or crap. You need a better computer.System Requirements The Sims 3?

Here's the easiest way to know if you can run it:

There is a site that reads your computer's system information and stores the system requirements for The Sims 3 and loads of other games. It will tell you roughly how fast it will go on you're computer and and whether you have the minimum to recommended system requirements.
To simply explain what it does, it finds out whether you can run a selected PC game on the computer you're running.
Copy/paste the URL:

There will be a drop down list showing loads and loads of different PC games in alphabetical order, look for "The Sims 3 - PC" and press "can you run it". It should now Analise you're computer. Try not to click or anything while you're computer system information is being
analyzed.
This site is very "easy to use" and very very reliable. You should use this when checking if you can run a game before buying it.
Here are the general System Requirements for the sims 3 if the first Method failed
