The sims 3 system requirements?

I'm getting a laptop for Christmas and I want to play on the sims 3, but not sure If it will work. I'm getting a toshiba, windows 7 with 350GB of memory, 3GB of RAM and 2.2GHZ. Will the sims 3 work on this laptop?The sims 3 system requirements?
I think I should barely enough. But because the configuration is not too other appropriate, speed may delay some, some patience to just go.The sims 3 system requirements?

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly.



Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants may default to settings that are higher than what would be optimal for them. Graphics settings can be lowered to improve performance.
