My PC doesn't meet Sims 3 system requirements, what can I do?

I know for sure that my PC doesn't meet the requirements, but I'm a really big fan of the Sims Series and would really like to be able to play it. I don't meet these requirements; CPU, CPU speed, System RAM, video card, and video RAM. I know that that is alot...but is there anything that I can do? Buy a new computer, or buy a new video card and processor. Either one will work. I dont know how much processors are, but you can get a 256mb video card for about $60. You also need to buy memory. You could buy a new computer. Other than that, you probably won't be able to play it.
