Sims 3 system requirements - will it work on my PC?

I don't know much about computers but really want the Sims 3!! The system requirements for Windows Vista are:

- Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)

- 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

-1.5 GB RAM

-At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content

-128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

From what I can figure out, my computer has:

-AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20GHz

-RAM: 1GB

-32 bit operating system

-Hard Disk Drive 227GB free space

I have no idea about the graphics card.

Will it work on my computer and run ok?Sims 3 system requirements - will it work on my PC?
it's hard to tell from that but run belarc advisor (you'll have to download it) to find out more on your computer EASY. the graphics card is important to know the sims 3 needs a thing called pixel shadier 2.0 or more that you can not download it's on the graphics card it's self

every thing elce you told us sould be fine but the ram you'll need a bit more. bring the computer to a computer store like PC world or something they can do that and maybe they can tell you if the computer will ply the sims 3 or not

don't know what elce to say so bye
