Sims 3 system requirements, how strict are they?

Hi.



I have checked the system requirements for Sims 3 and my laptop does not cut it. Although I have run Sims %26amp; Sims 2 on below minimum requirements before and they were not that bad. Is this a similar situation for Sims 3? Or are the requirements they give us a bare minimum?



I have a 1.8GHZ Intel Pentium 'dual core inside' according to my sticker. I have 1.5GB of RAM and I just use the video card that came with it. I am using a Vista operating system.



Would my computer be able to run it, albeit not as well as others? Or is it a lost cause?Sims 3 system requirements, how strict are they?
Honestly, i highly doubt that it will run it. Many people who have bought the sims 3 have ALL of the system requirements and the game still runs slow and gets "glitchy". I think that the sims 3 is hard on computers even with the requirements. I LOVE the sims and i am supposed to be buying it tomorrow, but from what i hear about it i may not =(
