Sims 3 system requirements?

i have a acer aspire laptop and i just got sims 3, just wondering if it is ok to work on laptops? and also i have windows vista, is it ok to work on that too? and the laptop is about 7 months old so it should have all the other requirements, do you think it will be ok to work because once ive opened the packaging i cant take it back if it doesn't work, please help.Sims 3 system requirements?
